Your first visit

How to get the most from your appointment.

A little prep on your end means more time in your visit for the conversations that matter — not paperwork.

Your first appointment with Nathalie is a conversation — not a rushed intake squeeze. We set aside 60 to 75 minutes specifically because hormone health rarely fits a 15-minute clinic slot. You'll have time to explain what's been going on, ask questions, and leave with clarity on what we're going to do together.

The items below help us skip the basics and get straight to your situation. Bring what you have — we'll order anything we need going forward.

"The most useful thing you can bring is a candid account of how you've been feeling — and when it started."

What to bring

None of these are dealbreakers if you don't have them — but they speed things up considerably.

Photo ID

Driver's license, state ID, or passport. Required to establish your chart.

Required

Completed intake form

If you haven't yet, complete it online before your visit — it takes about 3 minutes and lets us prepare in advance.

Required

Insurance card

We're a self-pay friendly practice, but labs at Quest/LabCorp are often billable to insurance. Bring your card if you have coverage you'd like to use.

If applicable

Recent lab results

Any bloodwork from the past 12 months — hormone panels, thyroid, metabolic panel, CBC. Even partial results are helpful. You can bring a printout or log into the lab portal on your phone.

Helpful

Medication list

Current medications, supplements, and dosages — or just bring the bottles. We'll reconcile in the visit.

Helpful

Symptom notes or journal

When did this start? What does it feel like? What makes it better or worse? Even a few bullet points on your phone help. Patterns you've noticed are gold.

What to expect

Here's how a typical first visit flows — and what happens in the weeks after.

1
Before your visit

Intake review

Nathalie reviews your completed intake form and, if indicated, sends a lab requisition to Quest or LabCorp so your results are available on the day of your appointment.

2
Minutes 0–15

Getting to know you

We start with your story — what's going on, how long, how it's affecting your life. No rushing. This context shapes everything that follows.

3
Minutes 15–45

Clinical review & labs

We review your medical history, current medications, lifestyle factors, and — if available — your lab results. We talk through what your numbers actually mean and what's missing from the picture.

4
Minutes 45–65

The plan

We build a starting protocol together — options, delivery methods, goals, and what monitoring will look like. You leave with a clear picture of what we're doing, why, and what success looks like.

2–3 weeks later

Follow-up & adjustment

A check-in to see how you're feeling, review any new labs, and fine-tune. Hormone optimization is iterative — the first visit starts the conversation, not ends it.

On timing: First visits run 60–75 minutes. Please arrive 5 minutes early. Telehealth patients receive a link before the appointment. If you need to reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
